We have been working with Project Centre and our elected councillors to redesign the use of the streetscape of the Market Place.
The aim is to re-establish the area as the town’s thriving heart via upgraded spaces and assets, we want to create a space that attracts and retains visitors.
The contemporary pots will create an improved look and feel, providing a bosque of tree and interesting low-level planting. The lower-level pots bring additional seating from which to enjoy this much improved environment.
The multi-level podium will bring further planting areas and generate opportunities for performances and informal play.
The visuals are for illustrative purposes only, and will be installed in June 2025 to complement the opening of the cinema.
